Enrollment Procedure

COLC enrolls children from the ages of six weeks to twelve years who have not yet entered middle school regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis with priority given to siblings of enrollees. We have no religious affiliation.

All parents are required to complete an enrollment packet. The packet includes enrollment and financial agreement, medical emergency authorization form, and a child development form. Parents must provide a copy of a current immunization record.

When enrolled, each child is placed in a classroom on the basis of age and developmental level. Promotions to the next classroom will take place according to the developmental needs of the child, as well as available openings in the classroom.

School Age Care is provided before and after school and all day when school is not in session. During the summer months we operate a camp program. On days that elementary schools are not in session or are closed due to inclement weather, childcare is available with special activities designed for the school aged child. Please make advance reservations through the office whenever possible. Fee schedules are available upon request.

Part-Time Care is available on a limited basis. Enrollment is based on a regular schedule. Fees are payable in advance at the rates listed on the current Council Oakes Tuition Information Sheet.

Council Oaks Private Academy is a progressive private school within COLC. Emphasis is placed on reading, math, and individual instruction. Special projects, field trips, music, Spanish, and computers enhance the intellectual and social development of our students. Physical education and fitness complete the student’s cognitive and developmental needs.
